 I am so excited to introduce our newest skye snyder photography senior representative. Her name is Jocelyn and, yes, she is lovely thru and thru. Spending a morning playing at Lake Tahoe and running through a Sierra Nevada meadow is a blessed work day. Work has been good over the last few weeks. Something has shifted. The stars have realigned.

A wee face like this is a great way to start a working day. {Little Miss I} took part in our ::: NEWBORN SPECIAL ::: You can reserve your appointment for anytime, but the session must be reserved by June 30th. This special has been a big hit and I hav {LOOOOOVED} photographing all these "babes in arms" -- a saying my Granny always said.

Crush on Mama Lisa

I've always loved this photo. Mama Lisa is one of my favorite subjects. Her photographs stir something in me. Something feminine and timeless wrapped in the grace of a Pre-Raphaelite muse. I miss my friend.

Crush on Community

This past week we got to share what we do with an organization that is all about sharing. Bountiful Backyard is a non-profit based in Reno, Nevada. Their mission is to help eachother within our community by sharing the bounty from our own backyards. Most food banks cannot collect fresh produce on their shelves which means many of those in need are not receiving these essential foods. If you garden, you know most of us produce more than your own family can enjoy. Please take the time to find out about local drop-spots for your produce. Check those farmers markets for drop places. And if you can spare some time,  get involved to help collect and distribute the bounty!

Crush on Newborns II

Wanting to share and add a few shots as we begin to photograph the newborns from our {NEWBORN} special. Remember, any baby from one day to one year qualifies. There is no session fee and a $25 print credit but you must reserve your spot before the last day of June!

Look at Mr. M's eyes! They are so crystal clear you can see our reflections in them. In the close-up you can see his own feet, my arm, the blanket, the grass....his innocent orbs are mesmerizing.

Crush on Architectural Bees

This wedding was a beautiful, intimate wedding during the winter time. Eric and Christine were wed at St. Albert's Church but we headed downtown for their wedding portraits. Here they are resting on the column of the courthouse. Today, thousands of bees have added to the architecture with their new wax home.

Crush on Washoe Valley Owls

Mama and Papa Owl have made their nest for the second year in my parents' back yard. They proudly hatched four owlets. These photos were taken the day after their maiden flight into the yard that became many firsts for me too.
