Crush on Baltic Amber

Yesterday, we played Skosh Games for a $10 Skye Snyder Photography gift card. We asked on our Facebook wall,"What is the purpose of this necklace?"

Last week, I had the honor of photographing one of our most photographed families to celebrate their little one's first birthday. Little Miss Isa had on this beautiful necklace. I didn't think it held any special purpose other than a fancy pretty for her photo session. The members on our page are way more in the know than me. 

Erin Craig received $10 SKOSH BUCK$ (which are on the SKOSH BUCK$ TALLY BOARD) for being the first to identify the necklace's purpose as a teething necklace. Amber Richter also scored $10 for explaining it so well, "It's a Baltic amber teething necklace. It's a natural remedy to soothe teething pain and can also decrease drooling."

The baby doesn't chew on it. The natural properties of the Baltic Amber are heated by the skin and absorbed into the body . Well, fancy that!
